Capitola looks to me like an ideal resort for a relaxed weekend of why not a longer vacation. How far is Monterey from San Francisco? It’s a bit off the coast but driving only takes a few minutes time. When you reach the community of Pacifica south of San Francisco Highway 1 suddenly narrows to a two lane road. We wanted to see a bit more and took the smaller road that follows the ocean shore. We spent days exploring this amazing city and I can warmly recommend that to you too.
